How records are kept

What we store when you sign in

Your account holds the children you add, Learn checkmarks, custom list items, journal notes, and photos you attach. Each record is scoped to your sign-in. Other testers cannot open your caseload.

Practice student data stays in this browser only. It is not saved to your account.

Photos and files

Journal photos are compressed and count toward your storage band. Checklist uploads and report-card scans are read to draft items, then discarded — the original file is not kept. You confirm what is saved.

AI

Sort, “suggest domain,” photo reading, and report-card import run only when you press a button. The text or picture you send is used to draft placements or grades for you to confirm. This app does not use those drafts to diagnose or to score a student.

School records and FERPA

This app is not a school information system and is not “FERPA certified.” A parent or eligible student may upload a report card they already have. School staff should not put student records here unless their school has authorized this app. We do not connect to PowerSchool or other SIS products.

Your choices

You can edit a child’s profile, delete journal entries, delete photos, or delete a whole child record from that student’s page. You can also upload a copy of an assessment you have the right to keep; that file counts toward storage. Download a copy of the notebook (without photo files) from the record. Delete the whole account from Account after you sign in. Sign out from the account menu.
